PROCRASTINATION: Satan's Weapon

I remember a story of a boy who kept adjourning doing his homework. He did love to play with friends telling his mom 'I will do it later'. His mom will always do it for him and he will submit it to his teacher school. Apparently, he became a man and the attitude was dominant in him. He had good employment but he was fired one day by the manager after failing to deliver a report to the prominent members of the organization, giving several excuses.
One of the devil's greatest tool is PROCRASTINATION! So then what is procrastination? Procrastination is the habit of postponing, adjourning, defer in doing things especially on regular practice.
Its well noting how the devil is making you think you have more time to do things that should be done now. He keeps whispering you can do it tomorrow or even another time, relax and enjoy. He then brings your way things that are not worth patronizing to the spirit of God but to the flesh; enticing you to feed your fleshy desires which leads to death.
Have you ever asked why do you keep postponing positive tasks but execute unproductive ones? Why you dawdle doing your assignment from school, completing your job report, doing the home chores, preparing lessons to teach, among others but enjoy clubbing, playing video games outrageous, chat for long hours? The enemy doesn't want good use of your time. He knows when you manage your time well, he will hardly find way to access you. Remember, the devil finds work for the ideal hand! Consider where we would have been if Christ Jesus postponed all the tasks He was supposed to do? The good news that people would have missed, the miracles that would have gone begging and the souls that would have been lost.
Its sad how young people and even some adults find it difficult to read their Bibles and have their daily devotion, pray and fellowship with God but find it appealing to chat on social platforms such as whatsapp. Its mind blowing how despite whatsapp is helping us as a technology yet a catalyst for procrastination when not careful.
As the song writer says "so you see my brother, life is so short. It passes so quickly and soon its gone". You may there is more time but I tell you there is none. We are limited! You may think this is the moment to enjoy and finish later but I tell you, you don't know what lies ahead. It will be sad, very sad that you don't complete the race of a successful life because of procrastination.
I pray for you today that the instinct and zeal to complete and finish well be injected in you, move through your veins fusing with your blood vessels into your heart and mind. I pray the spirit of procrastination be far away from you. You are a son and a daughter to the throne of the most high and you have the mandate and authority over all unpleasant situations. You are the best person God has appointed to put things right. He knew you are capable before assigning you to where you are. Make the difference while others are procrastinating. God bless you. Jesus loves you.
