I remember a man who wanted to commit suicide because he thought all was gone. The tied a rope on a tree and wanted to hang himself. Which pondering over his last thoughts, his son arrived saying daddy I just won a lottery of $2000. Father being amazed, he asks son, what will you use the money for? Son replied I will use 70% for your funeral that the world will see how much I loved you and the remaining 30% for settlement of the loan you used me as collateral. Father annoyed came down from the table he stood on to commit suicide and said "am I the only person suffering in life? Even my young son has mental illness".
Its wonderful to note that in as much as God has given us free will to choose, He often wish we choose the best option. In Deuteronomy 30:19, Bible unveils God's unconditional passion and love for us by saying "...I set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life...". I could not rejoice over this as I read it. A judge putting life and death before me and recommending me to take life. That's the real deal God has given to us.
Today, I hear God asking you to choose life over every situation you are going through. It doesn't matter how difficult it seems. Your problem might seem there is no life but God is igniting a birth of new light. Pray until something happens (PUSH) and remember God has mandated you to choose life. May God bless you and make you a land of flourishing life. Amen. Jesus loves you.
