IDENTITY INVESTMENT

I can say without doubts that the Whites will always do well with their talents than Africans!
I know you will ask me why? Don't get angry or emotional yet! I believe by the time you will be done reading, you will be enlightened to experience a different paradigm.
Whites or most Whites will take time to identify the talent(s) their child is carrying, and then invest into it for the child's best.
Bring that to Africa! No! Most Africans would want their child to become someone prominent without even identifying what drives the child's passion. All they care is I want you to become a great lawyer, engineer, pilot, etc. Almost exorbitant careers. Careers that will bring huge earnings but probably less or zero fulfilment to the child.
Now, most African children graduate from the universities with careers they don't have passion for, simply because mommy, daddy, auntie, or family wanted them to undertake that.
What are we doing to our wards as parents and guardians?
Insisting or convincing your ward to embark on a career without knowing his/her passion or talent is like giving a delicious meal to a person without knowing he/she is allergic to the meal. Avoid making your ward take a path he/she is not destined to, simply because a friend, family member or colleague's ward took that path and was successful.
It's about time we start enquiring from God the real self of our wards; who they really are, in order to usher them into their future life.
Success isn't build on what's outside of man, what you think of him or what others think! It's goes beyond that. It's starts from the man himself! His mind, heart and total being. What he sees in himself and what his Creator sees in him.
I know you've probably being nodding, shaking your head in pity or exhibiting other emotional appeals but what matters most is being informed in order to change our thoughts. Don't let what happened to you happen to your children. Create a better future for them and with them.
You know what? I don't have a topic for this article. I was driven [please don't ask me by what or whom], you can share your appreciation by giving me a title for this article. Thanks for reading!
